That's a good point.
Surprisingly my pops didn't want the motor. He always talked about putting a diesel in it. He was worried about finding parts. Ppfffttt, like he will need them after I'm done. I can only keep trying. I really don't want to build another 4bd2t, but he is a cummins guy. Way too much motor for that little truck though. I might pursue the seats depending on costs. Second option thing for this motor is a buddy with a rock crawler. I like the guy, but not that much. |

If it was a 617 turbo I would make you an offer.

I'll be honest that I'm waiting for you to give up at the motor and I can score it cheap. Jk. I don't know my terminology of the bits in there but I have everything. I know the oil pumps are different, but the rest is the same I think.

Oh that's so cool. What are us young guys gonna do without the old guys that understand it all? My buddy (who owns a shop) spun a rod bearing the same time I did, and said he had to ask his machinist about his crank. Didn't even check min thickness.
I'll have to goto town to watch this all. I have cell phone internet and it gets expensive. In natural forum fashion, I'll correct this man in the aspect that he's wearing jewelry. Catch that ring and goodbye finger. |
