P0380 and P0100 Codes
After valve seal and shutoff o-ring replacement, my '98 E300 threw both a P0100 and P0380 code. The P0100 code (MAF) cleared and did not come back, however the P0380 code keeps coming back after being reset. Prior to doing the valve seals, the car ran fine with no codes.
I unplugged the glow plug harness and checked ohms resistance on all the glow plugs. All six plugs reported 0.7 to 1.1 ohms (none reported .OL or infinity on my meter). So, I'm looking for some help here in trying to get this one sorted out. I have considered the relay, but am unsure at this point and don't know how to test that. Can anyone help?

I've had the code pop up a few times just for turning the key without waiting for the glow plug light to come on (had a hot engine).... After a few glow cycles it just reset itself.

After 3 cold, hot, cold run cycles the code will reset itself if it doesn't record another cold GP start attempt.
Ought to be able to reset it though. If a GP is bad it will register as P1365, 67 or 69 with better code readers which would be a fault at cyl's 1/2, 3/4 & 5/6 respectively.

thanks guys. i will give it a try over this next week (letting it reset itself). after replacing the o-rings there was a heck of a lot of engine cranking going on to get fuel back to the injectors, and i know that i probably "early-cranked" through the glow plug light a few times. i will update on the results later this week.
