Coupe mirror delete
Did coupes ever come without a passenger door mirror? I can't seem to find any info on the delete parts. Plenty for the 4 doors...
I just never use it and it's too small to be effective so I figured I'd just get rid of it. Visibility is quite good so it really isn't needed. I might keep it if I could find a convex glass for it... |

I bet you can get convex mirror for it at a glass specialty business.

The 1980 300SD w116 I have only has a Drivers mirror. There is a chrome plate on the inside and outside where the passenger mirror should be.
I wasn't able to remove the cover, I can tell you the inside one is chrome plastic, and is identical to the drivers side. ![]() ![]()

On the 123 coupe the angle on the triangle is different. The outside mirrors are unique to the coupe too.

My 1980 300cd does not have a passenger side mirror - there is a little triangle plate. I also used to have a 240d with no passenger mirror - did not realize there was a difference as T Walgamuth pointed out - that is good to know.

Exactly, that's why I didn't know if a delete kit even existed but it sounds like one does according to cfh. Good to know. I'll keep looking then. |

I wouldn't say it is a "delete kit". The mirror was an option, at least in early years. So having no mirror is standard, though I rarely see a car without one. My 1980 coupe did not have a right mirror.
