Vacuum line to transmission part number?

Looked all over EPC for a useful diagram, AND the web, and I am lost. I broke the line from the control valve on the IP to the tranny and would like to replace it with new since it gets a lot of heat. Anyone have a clue?

You can replace it with a long Vacuum Hose or you can replace the Plastic Tube with the same approximate sized Oil Pressure Gauge Nylon Tubing.

The Nylon Tube simply will not be the same Color as the original.

I am not sure if Pelican sells the Tubing by the foot or not. If so you could simply buy it by the OD and the color you want.

Thanks, Diesel... I may end up doing that, but if I can, it would be nice to get the right line for the job. IIRC, the tubing size can be one of three sizes from the manufacturer, so that tells me it is crucial to get the right one.

Anyone have a thought?

Vacuum Line to Transmission

If you would take a picture of where the line attaches to the engine. I haven't been able to figure out where this line attaches to my 617 on 85 300 SD. I have an extra hose that fits if you need.

I bought a 100' roll of 1/8" air brake tubing and use it to plumb things like vacuum lines and diesel fuel pressure gauges. The FP gauge in the Ram is 3 or 4 years old. I checked it last October and it is not brittle or (hopefully) close to failing.

I bought it from a place named Discount Hydraulic Hose. They have lots of fittings. Some of their stuff is low priced, others can be had for less but sometimes it saves money to be able to click, buy & go.

Edit: vacuum is vacuum and the key concern here is leak free. The tube is plastic down to a short piece of rubber hose which attaches to a nipple on the transmission.
