Power steering pump pulley

Hey everyone!

Will a power steering pump pulley from a w124 300te fit a w124 300tdt? Being that they both use tandem pumps I would think they're either the same or very close diameter and backspacing wise. I cant seem to find part numbers or anyone who sells them but I've found one for a gasser wagon, hoping it will fit my diesel.

Mercedes Electronic Parts Catalog (FREE! FREE! in USA)

Go TO:

EPC-net Online - Subscription Step 1 of 3

AND register (They'll ask for a U.S. based credit card number to prove that you're their customer,
BUT no Charges will accrue to your card.)

[AND if you'll fill out your information for the forum
(I.E. which MB[s] you you own and what part of the Planet you're near...)
Possible Future Assistance from your fellow owners MAY be more readily available in the future.]

___________________________________________________________________________________________________

I'm gonna take the 300te PS Pulley (You haven't told us what year) and use the EPC's "Search" function.
Which will tell us OTHER engine (s) it can be used on.

O.K. EPC SAYS:
Power Steering Pump Pulley # 126 460 03 79 is used on BOTH:
The 12 Valve M103 GASOLINE 300te (Later style engine)
AND
The OM603.972 TurboDiesel

So if you have the later model 300te with the 12 valve head's Power Steering Pump Pulley

AND

If And Only If,Your 300tdt has the OM603.972 engine the "Foundling" Pulley will fit.

Oh! The phrases: "Close"
or
"Near to the Same"
don't exist in German Automotive Engineering

See reply #2 above

And follow directions to gain access to the EPC and have the Joy of
answering your own question(s).

[AKA the List is substantial.]

(Methought, that was the whole purpose of this exercise?)

A Clue for your search : The EPC Says your PS Pump Pulley,
if it should need to be replaced, to do so with #201 460 04 79

I downloaded it doesn't show or list the pulley for a 300td with sls, it shows the tandem pump with no pulley and the non sls pump with a pulley.

You are correct

on screen #3
section 045 (Power Steering Pump attachment Parts) shows a PS pump's
Pulley #201 460 04 79 [the same number I listed earlier].

on screen #1
section 030 the choices of Power Steering Pumps are listed.

I only see One Pulley number listed, period.

I've learned that as soon as I say something like,
"Since it's the ONLY pulley listed..."
I will once again be proved WRONG.

BUT,you gotta admit,THAT would be the Logical conclusion.
