1993 300D 2.5 Turbo - Engine won't Start

Ok, so I replaced the bad head gasket. Put everything back together the best I could. Made sure the timing and everything was correct. All appears well other then some confusion as to the vacuum setup on the turbo, but don't think that would do anything to prevent starting of the engine.

When I attempt to start the engine, it turns over strong, but immediately shuts off.

Here are some things I have attempted so far:

- New Charged Battery
- New Fuel lines
- Broke the fuel lines - Fuel shoots out with high pressure
- Glow plugs appear to have a current when I test them

Here are some other factors:
- The glow plug light in the center display does not go off, but this appears to have been the case before. Not sure if this matters

So, what else should I be looking at?
