B20 in a 300d 2.5?

not sure im posting in the right forum... just curious if our om60x's can handle this fuel. i have read about smoother running and quieter engines, but ive also heard about hoses and o rings needing to be changed.

The fuel return lines on each injector should be watched.

B100 will melt the return hoses and also some o-rings but B20 will not, or at least at a much slower rate. My OM606NA engines have run B20 for several years with no problems. Anything above B5 will improve the lubricity of ULSD; B20 and above eliminates the "diesel stink," unless you think it doesn't stink, it which it has no effect.

B20 won't hurt the fuel return lines much faster than ULSD will, but the hose should be regularly monitored... It's messy when they fail!

Definitely the return lines... I have factory hose on now and it seems to be doing well. I used some aftermarket hose and it didn't hold up well. I'm sure you can find some bio compatible aftermarket hose but I've heard good things about the factory lines.
