79 euro 300d trans leak and loss of power

Hey all, I have European model 300d with a squirrely setup... It has a body of an 85 but apparently the engine (w123) and tranny of a 79 (722 405) I recently installed a new vcv and a transmission modulator valve to try and get her to shift more smoothly. After doing this my transmission sprung a leak. A bad one. I then changed out the trans pan gasket in the hopes that this would solve my problem but no. I am aftaid that the modulator valve is putting too much psi by I can't for the life of me find how much to set it to for my specific tranny. Also, could this have caused another gasket to leak higher up above the pan? It seems to be coming from both sides

I am also finding my self with a loss of power at highway speeds which has never happened before. I changed all my fuel filters but did not do a diesel purge, could there be a problem with my throttle linkage? Or a clogged fuel delivery line?

Any advice is much appreciated I am a novice at best
