Mercedes star grease caps?

Okay folks I've been looking intermittently for a while now for center caps for my Ronal Centras (actually I think they're replicas but whatever) and have to the conclusion that they're pretty much unobtanium so I'm not even looking any more. However, I don't really care for just having the grease cap sticking out in the middle of the wheel, it looks kind of hokey I think. Just wondering if there might be grease caps available some place with a Mercedes star stamped in them? I think it would look better than what's going on now. Also wondering if there's anything I could do about the hole in the rear hubs, if grease caps could be used to fill them?? I'm just looking for a more finished look. I'll attach a picture of the car so you can see what I'm talking about

Check the fit of the wheels in the wheel wells. You might need spacers and longer lug bolts to get them to fit correctly before you can snap in a regular star center cap.

I have a set of those Centra`s in 16" I believe. I`ll get them installed one day.

Mine have the large center type plate that cover`s the lug nut area.
Also has the large MB Star similar to the Trunk Star.
Also has the screw in lock with the special wrench.

Not sure if the small center cap that the 123 uses on the Bundt type wheel will snap in.

Have you looked on E-Bay or CL?

Some of these wheels were chromed and later on look bad due to the chrome pealing.
Yours look like mine, just plain aluminum.

Didn't you you were looking. I have a set of wheels but they're chrome. The center caps are all there. You going to be up here in the bay area again anytime soon? I'll make you a deal you can't refuse

i noticed my friend's 190e 16v had the star grease caps. we got replacements from mercedes while doing wheel bearing work along with other parts but they were plain so of course, we tossed them and used the originals i don't know if they're the same size but maybe if all 190's have them originally, you could grab some at a pick n pull.

Yeah mine were chromed but I had them blasted and powder coated since the chrome was peeling.

Capflya I might have to take you up on that!

Benz Turbo I'll have to check and see if the caps on my dad's 190 have that type of cap and if so I'll look around the junkyards some to see if I can find any

Did you try here? Welcome to CenterCapsDirect.com - Wheel look like crap? Need a Center Cap?

You might also be able to make caps from aluminum sheet then fasten them with a few bolts ( like 3 or 5 by drilling / taping the wheel or center of lug bolt )

I have several extra caps/covers, but there are a couple different sizes (really close). If you give me an exact measurement of the hole they fit in, I will measure the ones I have. I do know that some are missing the star, and some have some peeling chrome, but still they are better than none. Let me know the size, and I will look. PM is best......Rich

I might just end up getting some aluminum or stainless ones watercut, since its just a circle with a hole and I think there's a little nub or something that fits behind the lip on the wheel?
