300sd IP banjo bolt... it snapped in half!

On top of my engine being down for weeks now with little hope in sight, I was putting the banjo bolt back into the injector pump... the one above and to the right of the lift pump, and it broke in half. Someone in the past had tweaked it already and my tightening back on finally snapped it. I can't find a source for this... anyone?

Sorry I can't recall what this bolt/line is called... it has the hard plastic line on it and its very easy to get to, right on the side of the IP. (Circled in pic)

Pay a dollar or 2 at the Junk Yard to get in and pay another dollar or so for the Banjo Bolt that you remove yourself.
You also might find something else you need there.

You are going to need new Crush Washers X2. Not replacing the Crush Washers is likely why someone else over tightened it to begin with trying to stop a leak.

That is IF one can be found. I don't know about your area, but these cars are all but non-existent around here anymore.

Rollguy isn`t wrong, just checked the inventory 200 miles from Santa Cruz, Ca. which includes the SF Bay area. so 25 miles to 80 files from SC.

Looks like maybe 8 that would have the part you need.

He does not need a 300D or 240D. Any Mercedes Fuel Injection Pump that has that same Oil Line wil have it.
I think it is the same as the ALDA Banjo Bolt. There is a Banjo Bolt at the Front of the Line, one by the Lift Pump and maybe the ALDA.

I have not been to the Junk Yard for about 5 Years. At that time there there was few 300Ds but more than a few SDs and some newer Diesel Mercedes. But, they alwasys seemed to have some of either of them.

I only go to one Junk Yard and it is not only Mercedes or import Car Junk Yard. There is 3 pick your parts near Long Beach and other Junk Yards along Alameda on towards Los Angeles.

I will bet one of our Members Local to Him has a Parts Car.

Any suggestion I give on anything is optional.

Pick-N-Pull is only one of the Companies.
He has "So Cal" on his Post. I am not exactly sure where the division of Southern and Northern CA is but I believe San Francisco is North.

Thanks guys but I found one from "Reinvent.." in OR. Driving around the LA region would cost me more than he wanted for the bolt and shipping combined. I had three offers within 24 hours of posting!

Now if only I can ever figure out why the engine doesn't run, I'll be set! I needed this bolt asap so I can complete my compression test. After that, and if it's good, I'm sending a bottle or two of Purge through it as a last ditch effort before settling on the IP needing to be swapped out.
