I have had to scrape some ice off the windshield and wait a while to be able to drive, but you have it much worse!.

Define "old". My '95 just hit 20 years, does that count? I'm driving it every day, and today it looks more or less like your photo. But kudos for you and your even older servant.

I wish my car had a heated area at the base of the windshield - I mean a heating element in the windshield itself. I think I've seen the traces on some "modern" cars for that. Also I have determined that the heated windshield washer nozzles on my car are not heating....

I'd only consider it "rolling the dice" in that it's more likely some retard who thinks they're invincible with 4wd will screw up and smash your beautiful car.

Germany gets cold weather and nastiness too, these cars were designed to handle it.

Agreed. This is the first year i havent driven a 123 diesel all winter in a while, and im happy to not be putting them at risk with these tailgating idiots, plus the rot factor. Manual transmission old benzs are great snow cars. Automatics are among the worst snow cars.

People in 4x4s do not understand the concept that all cars are 4 wheel stop. They cant stop any better than anyone else, but they think otherwise until in a ditch or smashing into you.

Not me... when the ice storm and snow hit I parked the 190 and switched to the GMC truck... it can take a hit.

Oh me! I am! Getting pretty good with the one wheel burner. As long as you can get moving youre set. Got some of those cable tire chains if things really get hairy.

An undervalued perk of winter? No insects...
