plastic guide worn on rear window motor
My rear passenger side window won't go up by itself the last inch or two. It just clunks. I took the panel off and I can see that the teeth all look fine, they are just slipping past each other. There was a plastic cylinder guide about 1cm in diameter and 1cm long that is now worn in half that kept the regulator teeth aligned. It looks like that guide is on the motor housing.
When I look at photos of new motors they don't show any plastic guides on them. I attached two photos, one is from a junkyard and shows the guide I'm talking about the the other is a stock photo from a parts site. Is this guide something that I can buy seperatly? Anybody else ever have this problem and find the part?

I'm not seeing the guide you're speaking of. Can you take a more specific picture?
If the guide is not available, it could be made fairly cheaply.

It's the blob right beside the gear. That's just a photo I found on google. My door is currently all together.
