Front wheel bearings.

Front driver wheel bearing on 85 wagon was making noise when I would turn right, replace both inner and outer and still doing it... can feel vibration on feet. Took them back out checked and redid them no help. Going to order another set, but could this be something else I'm missing?

Front wheel bearings are sometimes especially irritating - it seems like the left when it is the right - or it seems like the right when it is the left...

...my tip - check the other side!

{but don't forget to look critically at tyres and wheels as well}

recently I had trouble with that kind of noise
replaced bearings TWICE but it was a/c hose rubbing on chassis
when car turned right...

you can observe it in a place....

In my experience, if the wheel feels tight when you try to wiggle it (w/ wheel off ground) and you don't feel any roughness when turning it, it probably won't make a noticeable sound. When I have had worn wheel bearings, it was more of a whirring sound (like a jet engine) when driving.

Wheel bearings can make all sorts of noises.....rumbling, squeaking, vibration, scraping, etc.

I replaced my steering box with one I had taken out of the white 85 sedan I parted, only had 125k on it and is nice and tight, the one in my wagon had a lot of play and had started to leak badly. While the car was up I noticed that the driver wheel was hard to turn.

The leak from the steering box along with a unrelated issue where my wife somehow drove the car home 20 mile without the oil filler cap on made a huge mess that I have been cleaning up for some time... a bad enough mess that at fist I couldn't even tell it was the steering box leaking and though one of the line may have been bad...

Anyways, I have been cleaning and re-cleaning that wheel with everything from brake cleaner to mister green to oven cleaner and even my steam cleaner and pressure washer to get all the crap off well not only the wheel but everything in there... and I'm wondering if I didn't somehow contaminate the bearings. When I took them off to check the "seemed" fine, where greased fine and not burnt. Put them back in and same issue.

The power steering does seem to make more noise now when I turn to the right also.. It's one of those times where you fix one thing something else fails. Just like right after I finished the power steering box and was driving back to the house my drivers window regulator broke... literally right in half... Have a new one coming.

But the sound is significant and there is a very noticeable vibration at my feet and only when I turn the steering to the right when driving/going around the corner.

Could camber cause it? My camber is way off due to the inner lower control arm bushings being shot. I had them dial the alignment in so it was the same off on both sides 2.12 or something like that on the hunter machine. Everything else was dead center green and the car tracks perfect. (I can feel the camber issue though and it's causing pour tire wear) I have parts to fix, just trying to get a spring compressor that works so I can do the job.

Please check your rear cv joints....
the items you talk about are not a normal source of vibration... noises sure... but vibration when turning one direction and not the other is typical of cv joint...
and you can have more than one problem at once... at least rule out the cv joint before trying other things since you have already tried your first impulses....
A wheel bearing would have to be incredibly damaged for you to be able to feel vibration in your foot....and YES .... it would be good to make sure you have not contaminated your bearing grease with those cleaning items you applied......

Center support driveshaft bearing, exhaust pipe, rear wheel bearing opposite side from turn direction...
Fronts are rarely direction independent.
