1995 e300d motor mounts

Do I need to take off the exhaust manifold to replace the passenger motor (engine) mount?

Nope. Can be a bit tricky getting that bolt off though.

I found the drivers side to be a bit more difficult.

Driver side access to the top bolt is def more difficult. Passenger side is easy.

fan shroud

Remove the fan shroud before you jack up the motor so you don't bust a fan blade.

I don't remember if these bolts are hex head or socket head. If they're socket head, be sure to clean out the head with a pick so your hex wrench fits in all the way. Cleaning out these heads is a good idea no matter where you find them - vacuum pump, water pump, etc.
