A cherry euro 300D on eBay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1825508791

I talked with this guy on the phone for about twenty minutes and assures me it really is mint and everything works except the cruise control. Only 64,000 miles!!!

His reserve is a little pricey for my taste, $5100, I dont think he is going to get it, but may.

If this car was a 5 speed and had a cloth or velour interior, the SDL might be up for sale

What's wrong about that speedo is that the second half will never get used!

If that's a 1982, shouldn't it be a 5 cylinder and not a 6? If you don't know how many cylinders your car has, I'd be suspicious.

It's a 5 cyl, non-turbo. It is a strange speedo, yes, but that is what the importer company put in back in back in 1982.

It looks like a 240, with the center rim caps, manual windows, and no interior wood trim. Or maybe because it's grey market (short bumbers)?

Yeah, its because it's a euro, its a real base model. No wood trim, power nothing, no cruise, manual climate control..

The speedo makes me suspicious too. How many miles were on the original? Is there documentation to show that the speedo was replaced in 82 and not later?

Who ever did the DOT conversion sure did cut some corners. That looks like one of those Speedos you buy at the local Autozone
