Vacuum leak found!
I finally found the vacuum leak, the master vacuum switch in the drivers door went bad. I used a 'Mityvac' vacuum pump with gauge. Testing the system was methodical and pretty easy. I purchased a booklet on testing the system from, dare I say, Mercedes Source. Simple and straight forward. ordered the new switch from Phil!
One question though. There is a green valve above the fuel shutoff valve, is it a check valve? If so, can I use a black and white one? |
What was the name of the book. Does the seller have a website.

Go to Ebay
Michael,
Try this http://www.**************.com/ I have the guide and it is pretty helpful. The "owner" of the site is a good guy. He auctions a bunch of stuff on ebay, but also sells direct. Make sure you check his direct price before you bid. Good luck, Jim |
I think the green things are dampners, not check valves, so don't replace them with a black and white check valve.
The check valves can be replaced with any automotive vacuum check valve from the autoparts store. Peter |
