Front wheel bearing dust cap
Does anyone have a way to get the dust cap off the front hubs without the special tool? I tried prying with a small screwdriver and didn't get anywhere.

Are you not able to take a wide jaw set of pliers and rock it out back and forth?

You can spray around the edge of it with some PBlaster or Kroil and let it sit for a few.
Then try the wide pliers, or you can use a wide chisel or wide flat screw driver and use a hammer to gently tap along the edge of the cap until it starts to move. When reinstalling us a piece of PVC pipe that fits along the outside diameter of the lip on the cap - makes it easy to tap it in to place without damaging the top of the cap itself.

I just use aflat blade screwdriver and a small hammer. Put the blade on the ridge with the angle as shallow as possible.

small prybar and another screwdriver to act as fulcrum, catch the lip and coerce it out around the perimeter.
be careful with the chisel and hammer, I accidently punched into a cap when doing that.
