Anyone recognize this 126 part?
Found this rubber bumper between the firewalls on my 83 SD. There is a number on it (written on the masking tape) but searching for that number on a MB parts website doesn't turn anything up. Unfortunately, I only have one 126, so I don't have another to look at. Just like to figure out where it goes.

It is a between the firewalls anti vibration rubber bumper. So you do not get engine ' resonance' amplification due to the drum effect. But it should not be attached to that pencil.
maybe.

Hello Resto108,
It clips into the side of the hood in line with the Neoprene seal on the top of the insulated firewall. The firewall directly behind the engine. If you follow it to the inner fender you will find a small gap between the seal and the fender. This Neoprene block fills the gap. Hope it helps. |

I have one in my parts box. How many are there supposed to be? Do they go elsewhere?

Thanks for the pic! Now I gotta see if I have one on either side. Thats the first place I looked based on the wear marks and shape, but didn't see anything.
