Alternator pulley for '85 300td

Greetings. Does anybody have a line on getting a pulley for 300d? It's a dual v-groove and seems to be specific to the diesel. I've replaced the alternator and installed a single groove butting requires frequent tightening and you can tell I'm over-stressing the adjustment bracket. Obviously there's as reason they built this with dual groove/belt design.

Not many bone yards near me and couple that are never have this car.

Thanks in advance.

Are there any alternator/starter/generator rebuilders near you? If yes, have them look up the alternator by application in their "Lester" catalog. It has a list of pulleys in the back of the catalog (my old catalog lists pulleys by dimension, models, my cross index section seems to have been removed by gremlins). The shop should be able to order the correct generic pulley for you. Other alternative is MB, or their OE supplier, Bosch.

shaft - just under 19mm (3/4")
outer diameter - 77mm (just over 3")
No offset, V profile - similar to US '15' series (but experience shows that non-european belts frequently slip and have premature failures)
In comparison, typical GM alternator '15' series V pulleys are 66mm outside diameter with 17mm ID
Good luck!

This is a more out of the Box Idea that is more expensive and might requre extra Wiring.

On the regual 300D W123s people have gotten a rebuilt higher amp Alternators that comes with a Pulley. I think it is the 80 amp one that still uses the same Electrical Connector; if you cannot use the stock electrical connector.
Besure to tell them that you want it to come with the Pulley.

Egalelectric on eBay is one of the places I believe people have bought them from.
