W201 shift bushings, any good experiences?

I got new shift bushings, for my W201 190D from the classic center, which were great for a couple months, now I think they're shot. Shifting is getting critically sloppy again, not pulling one fork into neutral before shifting the next.

Has anyone had a recent, good experience with shift bushings?

A guy on 190rev was selling delrin shifter bushing kits for the w201 and w124. The kit was brilliant, it absolutely transformed the shifter on my car and it doesn't wear out. Nice notchy feel with solid stop in each gear. Not sure if he's selling them anymore.

OH great, you have to be logged in to see anything on that forum.

I remember being in that forum a few years ago reading about a guy making
shifter bushings out of brass for a good solid feel.
Probably the same as the Delrin.

I agree with tjts1, I love my delrin bushings. I got them from the guy on 190rev. I removed the shifter from the car, installed the bushing inside it and cleaned and relubricated it. Then I replaced the shifter arm bushings.

The delrin is nice and firm and doesn't wear out or get sloppy. I don't really like the notchiness, but I guess it's nice to feel everything going on with the transmission.

I don't know if he still makes them. I think I got mine 2 years ago.
