Trans. modulator and throttle linkage questions....
Greetings,
I was changing my oil today and took a brief look under the car to try and find the trans. modulator and couldn't find it. My car shifts a little soft and I'd like to restrict the vacuum that goes to the transmission a little. Anyway, the car was on low ramps and it was really awkward crawling around down there so I didn't stay too long. Can anyone tell me where this modulator (or vacuum valve or whatever it is) is in relation to the transmission oil pan? I think once I found it I'd know what to do (from reading a bunch of other posts on the topic). Also, I would like to adjust my throttle linkage to spec because I know that it controls a lot of important things (trans. shifting, fuel delivery, etc.) but can't seem to find a good procedure on how to do this. Any help on that would be much appreciated. Thank you all. Alex |
Alex:
It's on the drivers side of the transmission, just forward of where the arm is that the shift rod connects to (neutral safety switch area). It's not even an inch above the trans pan gasket. Gilly |
