Mono Valve Rebuilding
Looking to purchase electrically working mono valve.
The current rebuilt kit is too large, got jammed in the bore, and when tried to remove, the plate broke off (electrical intact thankfully). Anyone have a source for just the diaphragms, by the way? Thank y'all in advance for the help!

I am subscribing, for the diaphragm question. Are you sure your internals were for your model? I have bought internals for $30 on ebay, but once had to buy locally from "5 Star Motors" for $80.
One guy here installed one for a 1986+ in a W123 300D, putting it where the electric aux pump normally sits. Not sure how he extended the wiring. I have a later one I got off ebay cheap (accident) so might try that in the future, since my aux pumps are long gone.

Changed the title since you want this to head more to rebuilding. As far as I understand, only MTC is available. How long ago did you purchase a O.E.M. kit? The MTC kit I bought was $16.05 in November 2013 (tells you how long been putting this off... ). The W126 looks very similar and looks like one could cap the extra two ports and/or use the electrical section. However, almost $400, so might be better to look into rewinding. Did find the original unit that was on the Mercedes (over organized). That was a new unit replacement and is made in France. The factory original that I had on there that I stupidly broke is made in Germany. The German unit has a smaller bore size than the French made unit. Not sure why, put something to watch for. Ended up taking the diaphragm unit off and putting on the French innards. That leaves one inner seal, but couldn't find it; apparently came off when trying to get the innards out of the German unit and already tossed before realizing. One last note, had to sand down the plastic spacer a lot to get everything to fit. So, replacing the diaphragm isn't as easy as removing the innards and putting in new. One must check the fit of the innards, which should be a loose slip, and the height of the diaphragm unit with the plastic spacer. Got everything buttoned up, but have yet to test it.
