w116 300sd Thermostat
1979 300sd
Removed the Thermostat and noticed some sort of sealer being used to join the thermostat to the housing. The rubber gasket is also there. Do I need to use a sealer for this job? |
should not have to
The rubber gasket is the seal. If the housing is in good condition, it should clamp down on the seal to make it watertight.
