weight of 240D clutch disc?

This info is needed for the Lotus 7 replica race car. Does anybody have the weight of the clutch disc?

Also is that 8.5" or 9"?

Thanks very much!

Well I have a used one in the garage Tom, and it has adequate friction material on it and it weighs 49.7 ounces on my kitchen digital scale. That is an 8.5 inch disc.

I was about to chime in when Jim beat me to it. I was going to guess a couple of lb - I can weigh the one from the Volvo if it would be helpful.

What's happening with the Lotus?

Dan,
Sure, weight of the Volvo clutch will be appreciated! I'm looking for a stock style clutch disc which might be higher quality and or lighter in weight.

The Lotus motor, an acura rsx 20k A2 has gotten a new block, and crank, new rods lighter than before, 13 to 1 pistons (replacing 12.5), new cams, new valves, new springs, new sleeves and all the usual stuff. We're building it just like before but a bit better. A no excuses rebuild.

Tom

Three pounds is not any lighter than the one I have I don't think. It seems in pretty good shape, maybe I'll use it.
