will W116 bumpers fit a W126?

Went to PNP & grabbed front & rear Euro bumpers
and also the Oris trailer hitch from a 380SE--all for $85

The factory sticker inside the front driver door was labelled 116

A paper sticker next to the factory label said it was an 83 380SE,
same as the trunk nameplate, which I thought was a W126.

If these are 116 bumpers will they fit a 126?

Thanks,
Jeff

Did you get a look at the climate control panel inside? If so what did it look like? I don't believe that anything from a w116 body will fit a w126, at all...

W126

Been searching around online and the Euro bumpers
and Oris E-152 trailer hitch bar are definitely W126.
Don't understand that factory 116 decal.

The hitch was missing the ball & arm so I will need to source that.

Was it just a 116 part someplace? Plenty of newer cars have 116 part numbers...

380SE is definitely a W126. Did it look like a W126 or a W116?

Install it on your SD before somebody offers to buy it!

Everything has its price..................;-)

Yeah, definitely a 126. That car was kind of picked over inside and
I haven't been inside too many 116s. The 116 sticker that threw me
was on the chassis support on the driver's door side.
It's that 1"x4" sticker that all the cars have. Option codes?

MBeige--do you have the trailer hitch? I've been reading so many
threads I've lost track of who has one. Seems like they are more
common on 123s. Still need to source the ball & arm.
