Soiund from rear of car in winter, but not summer
Sally (that's the name of my 190d) runs down the road without making a sound in the summer time. When it gets cold if I hit a bump a loud squeek sound comes from the rear of the car. Before I get under her looking around I'm wondering if the rear shocks might be causing this? Thanks for your time.

Take a spray bottle of ' RuGlide' with you when you go under there.... spray all the rubber items you can find.. then check to see if the squeek is still there.. might take a couple of applications...
RuGlide is the same type acid used in some eye drops... comes in container where you add water to bring it to the strength it is used at.... no use shipping that water already mixed in to it... See if you can make it sqweek by pushing on down on the fenders...

Try bouncing the rear of the car up and down and see if the squeak is there. Could be outer bushing on the rear control arm. It's tough to see or get to right up next to the brake heat shield. If you spray something on the "bushing" and the noise stops then you know.

I tried pushing down on the rear end, but the shocks are too strong. I'll try that RuGlyde.
