1979 300sd
Looking to get a new core for my w116 radiator. Santa Monica Radiator in Santa Monica, CA closed its doors after 93 years in business... Auto Repair Shop | Santa Monica Radiator | Mechanic Santa Monica If anyone knows of a good and reputable radiator shop near Los Angeles, Burbank or Santa Monica let me know, thanks. |

Talk to a few highly rated mechanic shops, they should have someone who they contract that sort of business to. At least that is what worked for me.

Update:
Finally got my radiator back. I can see right thru the zig zag copper pattern. The tanks and the frame were painted but the actual copper core was left unpainted. Going to install it today and hope for the best. Some of the Gibbs Penetrating lubricant that I used to loosen the water pump bolts dripped on to the lower pulleys. I do not want to have belt slippage problems. Can I use a brake cleaner or throttle body cleaner to spray and clean the pulleys? Note: Belts have been removed Last edited by xaliscomex; 12-11-2015 at 10:47 AM. |
