Looking at a 300D for sale

Helllo All,
New member here. I am looking at an 84 300D. Shifts hard between gears so I suspect a vacuum leak? I have a 420 SEL and am looking for this type of car. All electrics work. Even the sunroof. All windows work. What is a reasonable price for a car like this? Paint is faded, wheels look untouched, interior is without cracks or tears, but is faded. Can anyone help?

Difficult to offer a reasonable price, this will depend on the area, how motivated is the seller, among other things.

Perhaps someone will help you check it out n person.

People driving these old cars are cheap and they don't sell for much. With the info given, $1,000 to $3,000. You need to add the repairs that you will need to make the car acceptable to you. Adjust the purchase price plus parts plus effort to an acceptable to you total.

I gave $1,500 for my last 84SD. I'm getting tired and wouldn't take this particular project on again. PO said he did brakes. He meant master cylinder of unknown quality only. The calipers were sticking and pads almost to metal. He installed new shocks - Bilstein Comforts on the front only. I added HD all around. The Comforts are in the shop waiting for someone who needs them. I decided to redo the front suspension ~ $500 in parts. The list goes on & I'll have a nice car - when I get time to finish it.

Bottom line, 30 years turns all of these cars into a project. You may have a candidate that is a good starting point but price accordingly.
