4 spd ratios

Would any of you know offhand what the gear ratios are in a manual 4 spd tranny that came behind a 77 240D? Thanks.

I remember that ratio of the 4th gearbox are about :
1th 8 kmh @ 1000 rpm max speed = 39 kmh
2th 14 kmh @ 1000 rpm max speed = 62 kmh
3th 23 kmh @ 1000 rpm max speed = 103 kmh
4th 33 kmh @ 1000 rpm max speed = 143 kmh
5th (when available) 39 kmh @ 1000 rpm max speed = 140 kmh

This ratio are for a 240D with 72hp (that is to say after 79) so, maybe the ratio on a 77 240D with 65hp are a litle bit more tighten.

Thanks gnolo but I'm looking for the actual mechanical gear ratios. Such as is 1st gear 2.87:1 or 3.08:1 etc? I know 4th gear is 1:1 but looking for the ratio of the first three, particularly first gear.

Offhand, I have no idea. BUT if I turn the question over to my research and development department, with the aid of decades of combined experience, a super-computer, 2 gallons of diesel fuel and a Timex watch, we have arrived at the following figures;
1st gear 3.90:1
2nd gear 2.30:1
3rd gear, hang on tight, fasterrrrr, it's alriiiight! (oh, sorry, that's the lyrics to "Little Honda" by the Beach Boys)
3rd gear 1.41:1
4th gear direct (that's engineer talk for 1:1)
Reverse is 3.66:1
