Its shell rottella 10 w 30 triple protection. Diesel oil. Seems like winter =thinner oil like 30 and summer = 40. Sorry Manny I left out details on the oil. My rule on oil is . You better have it and always strain used oil with a clean tube sock before reusing.

OK, the 10w makes a big difference. That's much better than straight 30.

Used oil as in "it isn't time to change oil but it needed to be drained to fix X so I'll filter and reuse" ?

Disposable paint strainers are my choice for filtering oil that I'm going to reuse.

I notice that 30 w oil seeps out under my valve cover gasket more than 40 w. I,m going to loose the cover and wiggle it around and retighten. Hoping it seals better
