1987 300TD is sls reservoir pressurized? I cracked mine.

1987 300TD is sls reservoir pressurized? Reason I ask is I was swapping in a new suction line from the reservoir to the pump and was cleaning the reservoir, dropped it on the driveway and cracked it near the top. Actually took a chunk out of it about the size of the end of a Q Tip. I think I can fix it with an epoxy or JB Weld type of material. If its pressurized then I might opt to find a new or used replacement.

I wouldn't think it is normally pressurized, or at least needs to be. Perhaps try "plastic epoxy", but it doesn't stick well to polyethylene and similar plastics, which is what the reservoir appears to be.

You should be ok. Tank is not pressurized. Mine has a patch as well.

What a coincidence, that is what I was doing yesterday too.

The boots were long missing from my SLS Rams and the left one decided to blow out.

So I replaced both Rams and hoses, over $1000 in parts.

I did a complete flush of the hydraulic fluid. There is a bleeder port on top of the SLS valve, and I used the old hoses directed into jugs at each wheel. Fluid looks like honey instead of black gunk now.
