Anyone running w140 wheels (16") on a w123 or w126?
Interested in what you are using for spacers, etc.
I am looking at the 8-hole style, 16".

I can't offer quantative data, but I can offer a word of caution on wheel spacers. Be very careful with them. Low quality spacers can actually fracture and cause the rim to come off the vehicle. Thick spacers stress the wheel bearing, and if longer studs aren't used, they reduce the number of threads actually holding the wheel on. I've seen plenty of dangerous spacer installations, and most of the time the driver wasn't aware of the situation.
Just take that into consideration and don't use cheap EBay units or anything too thick.

Z:
The wheels in question should have an ET of 46. I have a set of four spacers and longer bolts, 19mm thick, that I have used with W140 wheels on a W126. Please PM me if interested. |
