1977 mercedes 300d wont start just clicks

So I bought this car and tow started it and it ran for about ten minutes, then drove around for about a mile, then I slowly started to lose control of engine as it was working it's way to shut off. Now when I try starting, it just clicks. I won't to post a video of engine running rough. The blast injector leaks from end plug, but it also bubbles at injection when running. Any help greatly appreciated. I will look for how to get a video loaded.

check the linkage for freedom of movement, and full travel when accelerator pedal is pushed to the floor.

starting could be a lot of things. check battery voltage, and go from there.

post your findings here and we'll figure it out with ya!

Describe loosing control of engine. You may have two issues or more. The primary one now is your starter is not functional. This can be poor connections, discharged or bad old battery, charging circuit issues, or even the starter itself. Free checks of the battery are available at parts places.
