Spring has sprung!

And the springs on my 79 240D are showing movement up around the spring pad. The pads on the rear of the car have 3 bumps (nubs, burrs, zits, nodules, whatever they are called) and I want to replace these while I am replacing the shocks. I am hoping this is just the pads.
So-what thickness do I order?

Thanks!

I think one who is banned did some testing and has info in the archives. I dropped down in thickness on the front of an SD. I think the thinner new pads were about the same as the compressed old thicker pad. I measured height at he wheel well arch.
