Ran into a snag pulling door lock

One SD has 2 broken keys with the various locks mismatched. I removed the Passenger door handle from the parts car with the intent of re-keying to match my other SD. The plan was/is to have 2 SDs keyed alike and only need to carry 1 key. Practice is a good thing and the reason for messing with the parts car first.

I removed the roll pin that goes through the handle and drilled the pin that is in a blind hole. The key is stuck in the lock and neither the key or the lock will come out of the handle. The key turns the easily and smoothly.

What am I missing?

If no specific ideas, can someone confirm that the lock cylinder is supposed to release once the 2 roll pins are removed? Perhaps there are pieces of the pins holding the cylinder in.

Removed driver's side handle and lock. Do not recall how lock cylinder came out but I just looked at it long enough to figure it out. Had broken wafers in lock cylinder which jammed key in lock most of time. Removed the broken wafers. Here are some pictures of how the cylinder was removed. Maybe this will help. In my case, key was in lock but not permanently stuck. Used key to help lock rotate. Pictures in order of disassembly.

Thank you. That's more information than I had.
