Pulsating Front Brakes

I am just seeing if anyone else has had this problem, and if they found a solution.

I have a 1981 300d and I've been driving it for a few years and replacing things as I have the money. Since the day I bought it, it has always driven nice but when braking hard or coming to a stop, it always shutters or pulses. It feels like the rotors are warped, but still does it after new rotors/pads.

At this point I have pretty much done the entire front end, and some of the back.

*tires
*wheel bearings (yes I used a dial indicator)
*new rotors and pads front/rear (showing regular wear)
*ball joints
*guide rod mounts
*lower/upper control arm bushings
*new hd bilsteins front/rear
*steering damper
*tie rods/center link
*any other rubber bushing I missed on the front
*carrier bearing/mount
*flex discs
*cv axles

It still does the pulsing after all this. It doesn't pull to either side, just pulses. The only thing I can think of next is calipers. They seem to function fine and don't stick. What could cause this? Brake lines? Thanks for any help

Have you changed the rear rotors?

I can't see how a caliper could cause pulsing.

I too have some odd pulsing on my wagon. I changed rotors, pads, and calipers and it still did it. I found that the runout on the left front rotor is ever to slightly off. I haven't investigated further as to why, although I suspect a problem with the stub axle at the moment.

Any number of things could be misaligned if the car had ever hit something or run over a hard object.

I would investigate the runout, as mentioned.

the mounting of the rotor to the hub may not have been accurate or you may have a few weak bolts
