Arrow What is my 1980 300TD 4-Speed worth?

I'm thinking of selling my 1980 300TD Wagon. It has 151K miles and runs and shifts good but it does have rust. Does anyone know a ball park of what I should ask for it?

Thanks in advance.

What is the condition of the interior? AC working? Good tires?

anywhere from 1000 to 3000?

The interior is in fair condition. It was originally blue but tan seats and door panels were swapped in. The A/C does not work. It has freshly powder coated wheels with new tires.

i wouldn't ask less than 3000, at least to start. wagons are extra cool, and 151 will seem fairly low to people looking at a 1980. people here know too much, seems like they've never pay more than 3000. but we just saw a wagon (admittedly in great condition - but certainly not perfect) go for over 14k in an online auction.

Euro or US? Euro would up the price a little bit.

Great feedback! It is a U.S. Spec and it has a 4 speed manual transmission

Photos? Mainly because I like to see pictures of wagons but it would also give us a better idea of the vehicles condition.

It's not a factory installed transmission if the car is USA spec. In order to give a value you'd need to post pics, details of the swap and details of the rest of the car. Rust is a deal killer for many and thus severely lower the sales value. A mismatched interior doesn't help.

I'll try to get some pictures this week and get them uploaded. The only service records that I have are a head rebuild at the dealership in 1996.

I keep a fuel log and note any work that I do in the fuel log. It includes date, mileage, part and part source. That has sold several vehicles for me as few people would go to the trouble to record stuff that they didn't do to the car.
