Seems like a waste. That much effort could have gone towards fixing it. I would like a nice convertible conversion with correctly reinforced body and attractive when up, working well soft top. That would be worth paying for.

85SD 240K & stopped counting painted, putting bac together. 84SD 180,000. sold to a neighbor and member here but I forget his handle. The 84 is much improved from when I had it. 85TD beginning to repair to DD status. Lots of stuff to do.

Those things are butt ugly from the front, so I think it's an improvement. Should have gone all the way and added a big bumper with off-road lights.

The old Mercedes went into the woods and rolled out with that truck bed and a puff can paintjob, only big miss was it should have been done in camo.

Love it. Now I know what to do with my 98 beater. 2800 for that is damn good if its a good running car.
