Flywheel Match Balance in SC or NC

Has anyone had a flywheel match balanced in the Western North Carolina or upstate South Carolina area? I've been to a hand full of machine shops which either dont have balancing equipment or wouldn't balance/said it can't be done unless I tear down the whole engine and bring them the crank also.

Any shop recommendations?

Thanks!

See this thread for starters. I can rent you the balancing mandrel that will accept flywheels for most 4, 5, 6 cyl. inline engines up thru M110 & OM617 and others that share that crank bolt circle. The mandrel can then be used on the balancing rolls used for electric motor armatures, or on the rollers of a crankshaft balancer.

I made a crude balancer in the garage using some old drive shaft parts and spare bearings I had around.

I spun the flywheels individually and found they always came to rest in the same spot. The auto flywheel was 26 grams heavy and the manual was 36 on one side. I used magnets 180 degrees opposite the heavy spot to find the weight.

I suppose I could just drill 10g of material out of the manual flywheel, bolt it up in the same orientation as the auto one was and call it a day. I'd rather have a dynamic balance done on a fancy machine rather than trusting my bubble level an old drive shaft and bearings to get accuracy near a gram.
