Hi guys sorry for spamming, im sure its been discusses a million and one times.

finding a 240d is gonna be almost impossible in my neck the woods,

seems like the toyota 2wd would be the easiest swap to the om617. would it fit in the 300sd?

I'm not clear on your question.

If you can't find a 240D near you with a manual it would likely be cheaper to buy and ship a 240D trans/clutch/flywheel package from one of the Forum members. The 240D to 300D/SD is pretty much a bolt-in though there are plenty of bolts (you'll need the right crossmember, drive shaft, clutch assembly, etc, etc.).

Doing a trans adaption will require an adaptor system (not cheap) from a company like Bentsen's or others, making a driveshaft, and then the other issues like shift linkage, a clutch actuation method, etc. Not a simple deal.

Either of the above can, of course, be done, but you need to know what you're biting off.
