Will 2nd Gen w126 cv axles fit 1st

I have a 2.47 diff out of a 380se but didn't swap the cv axles(big regret) and my stock ones are shot. Its impossible to find the 300sd cv axles new. So I bought some 2nd Gen cv axles off a junked 560. My question is will they fit or do I need to buy the half shafts for the 380se and use the other half of the used 560 cv axles

To use the 2nd Gen axles, the 2nd Gen inboard stub shafts that enter the diff are required. Those stub shafts are flanged for the bolt-on inboard CV joints.

thats how the 380 se was. thats why i bought the 560 axles was for the inboard stub shaft, you cant buy the full shafts for the first gen 300sd anymore. you can how ever buy the half shafts for 2nd gens. im wondering if they are to long, as 2nd gen w126's are wider than 1st gen w126's

They fit better than the last ones with no problems.
