W116 300sd Trip with Flying Bugs

1979 300sd

Will be driving up north to Sacramento in a few weeks and would like to know how I can prevent June bugs and other flying insects from getting stuck on my condenser and radiator.

Ive seen people use mesh directly on the condenser.

Should wire mesh be used on the radiator or condenser.

i know that I will have to wax my car.

Every time a family drives down from up North, there are hundreds of bugs splattered all over the bumpers and hood.

Any advice greatly appreciated

My '74 240D has steel skeeter screen (regular ole bug screen) wired to the back side of the grill, thanks to the 2nd owner. Works great for keeping the bugs out.
