Akebono BRAKE pad Part Number(s)?

Spent an hour and not finding a clear answer on Akebono pad part number(s); most of the time spend here. Looking for at least the fronts for W123 ATe calipers. Not getting a warm fuzzy feeling from these online parts stores, so want to be sure get the right ones.

Also, with Akebono does it really matter which brand caliper?

Thank y'all in advance!

I got your PM but I think it benefits others to post my response here just the same.

There are front Akebono pads sold by this very site. But they all say for Bendix calipers. I got my fronts elsewhere (different store, I don't remember which one). The rear pads were from this site, I do not know why they do not stock them anymore.

Well, sent and then had the same idea as you.

Odd, I get a different webpage than you. At first felt insulted, as did search the poorly designed catalog (doesn't allow part number searching even though Google), however, obviously you are seeing a different page. Made sure too by using find.

I however see no part number on this other the other page. Know not why we have to limit our purchases to this site. For me, I can get parts within a couple hours using another company; can Pelican do that?

FCP eventually got back to me and said to purchase the ones listed under 560SL. Holding off right now as ordered rear brake hoses that cost almost the same and got to earn some bread to pay ($60 to $90 a week).

As for rear pads, they are the same across a lot of Ate calipers, even fronts. I had bought a half dozen sets of ceramic on clearance for the front calipers on the Volkswagen and the rears looked very familiar. Got out the calipers and confirmed with help from the Peach that they fit. In short, you may not get Akebono rear pads, but there are other brands that do. Figure with the rear doing 40 percent less, inexpensive pads not as detrimental.

You don't. It's just common courtesy to give them a shot as they provide the funding and maintenance of this site. It's also a well-understood principle not to reference other suppliers for common parts....specialty and custom parts is a different matter. And that over-rated and over-priced guy in WA.

I get most of my parts at the junk yard but most recently got flex disks and center bearing from them.

Thank you for the social help. I don't get the unspoken/unwritten rules: has to be black and white and spoken/written.

Yes, that place up in Washington is mostly bad. Only reason be for some special item, but then the line clamp he sold as made in USA is absolute rubbish that is made in China.

If there was Fedex shipping (I use nothing else as 98 percent of everything shipped Oops was damaged beyond use and the insurance is a lie (must be put through by the seller who has always refused) and don't have time to waste) and knew in a couple weeks advance, yes.

Are we no supporting enough? We are now getting more advertisements like the former Benz World (no longer allows anyone to log in and no one answering electronic letters).

Isn't ceramic pads specialty?
