This ad is classic CL....

https://atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/cto/5665419506.html

"Mercedes Benz wagon, 1991: diesel. Only problem it had was a problem with the glow plug. No dents. Needs a good washing and it'll be nice. $3000"

I do believe I have found the worst wagon ever offered on CL...

Of course the year is wrong, that is a 123 body...

They did have amazingly durable paint in that era, pre clear coat, I bet a power washer would do wonders on it. Might be worth a look...

If you ever really want a laugh, check out Seattle's CL offerings.

$8500 for a 1995 E300 with like 230k and the famous "A/C just needs a re-charge"
~$7k for a 1992 2.5 turbo with 225k
$15k for a 2005 CDI with 250k+ AND a salvage title
and of course plenty of million mile $9000 w123's already pushing 300k

I often see cars over-priced on craigslist. Ads are free, so why not reach? When truly serious, you later see them on ebay in auction where they go for 1/3 the original asking price.

My 65 Dart was like that. Saw on cl for $2800 and never bothered to see it though only 6 miles away. Later saw on ebay w/ 1 hr to go, so bid $1000 and got it. Had $4500 written on the windshield when it arrived, and a bit more rust than you could see in the photos.

I feel sorry for the neighbor. It looks like they have a nice well kept house in the last photo.

How about this CL add, no real info, like mileage, original owner or 15th owner.
Does look clean by looking at the front seat. But common dude.
Ya want $20K for a 82 SD?
Two pictures and one is 100ft away......and it has been up 25 days....wonder why?

This one... also Atlanta,,, https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/5658322760.html

Rear ended, needs hatch,(stuck shut from wreck but "lube" should fix it) bumper, tail light body work and what ever else happens to be damaged from speak under. SLS disabled/altered. "Vac leak" have to shut off manually... I never understand this one, it's simple to at lease bypass the bad part of the system (pods) has to shift like crap due to leak also...

But then going on about how its the most sought after, took him year to find and he of course won't entertain "low ball offers" (read I know what I have) derp. With scrap bottomed out, this car is worth 500 bucks at most for it parts.

And no title, are titles issues on older cars in GA? How about insurance requirements? No plate, can't park in the center.

How about the ads for junk that ask 2x what a good one would be worth then state " Going to scrap Saturday AM". with the ad posted on Thursday.

There is a guy that ,for the past 2 years, has listed a car with a bad transmission and states. " I have an offer of XXXX , will accept other offers until the end of month." Gee, with so many people withdrawing their offer, and the offers dropping, there really must be something wrong with the car. ( Tee Hee )
