w126 orthopedic lumbar seat swap

First off, is this upgrade worth it?
Bought some seats out of a Gen II 560 during the 50%0ff sale today
because they had the vacuum lumbar feature.
I got the seats, vacuum pump & vacuum pod for the trunk.
Is this a direct swap?
Also I notice that the vacuum pump from the 560 has an extra
three prong plug that the SD doesn't have.
What's that extra plug for?

Thanks,
Jeff

Nobody has the lumbar seats or any experience with them?
Found some info on benz world but still need some info if
people like them or not??
Also, does anyone have instructions on how to use the
ABC--123 control unit?

Thanks,
Jeff

I have this in my Lexus and have never used it, not even once except to see that it still works. My guess is this is only for folks who have special needs and I am not one of them.

If you compare the 86 and later Central Locking System schematic, to the previous years, the design is quite different.

https://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/outside/12253/program/ETM/126td83-85.pdf page132
https://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/outside/12253/program/ETM/126from86.pdf page 138

If you sort it all out, it appears the main differences are with unlock inputs from other doors and the orthopedic seat option.

They are fairly large pdf files (many pages) from the electrical diagrams. If you are trying to open them with a smart phone, or similar, they probably won't open. I have to be on a laptop to get them to open.

According to page 182, X30 is a connector block for grounding. Located behind the Driver's instrument panel.
