Just a big fat thank you to the forum
Just got my 99 E300 back from its annual inspection and nothing flagged except a brake light bulb. No need for new tires, brakes, loose or failing suspension parts, engine issue..etc.
Just a big thanks to this group for the helpful advice, how-to's and getting me into DIY maintenance. I suspect I've saved a bundle so far. Now, whats a good anti jinx incantation.

"Here, hold my beer and watch THIS...."
Oops, that might not work, either. My favorite for Mercedes people is "It's just a car." Some folks think they have to have Stuttgart air in the tires or it won't work properly and while they DO have their little weirdnesses basically they are just cars so don't let it throw you for a loop. Dan |

When I was shopping for my 300td I heard so much of "It's a Mercedes, what a money pit", "those are difficult exotic cars to work on", "BS BS BS BS BS BS" etc.
Everything I know about working on other cars has pretty much been exactly the same. Some things are easier, some things are harder. w123 front suspension looks like the suspension on my 1951 plymouth, no big deal.
