Help with locating Overboost and Switchover vales(pix)
Just out doing some checking/waxing/maintenance. I'm confused as to where the overboost and switchover valves are located. Which one is in the white circle and which is in the red?

Ok...I've figured out that the white circled part IS the overboost VALVE. The overboost SWITCH is located on the intake manifold with 1 wire connected to it for grounding upon overboost condition.
Tested the switch and I can hear the VALVE clicking.... and blowing thru the tubes works like it should (goes thru the valve or vents to atmosphere depending on the SWITCH). Now....what's that thing in the RED circle? and why does a tube go from IT to the ALDA? |
"Blue Shiny Thing"
"Blue Shiny Thing" is the vacuum amplifier! A search of this term should lead to a couple of threads where this is discussed by "gsxr" if I recall it is used to condition the vacuum to the tranny modulator. Good Luck!
