Plastic Surgery
I removed the climate control console the other day to see why the dials kept sinking into the console. No accident history and the car is all stock except for the audio system. The frame was cracked in three places. I used a 3/32" bit and 4" cable ties for the sutures. It looks like Frankenstein's Monster but it's pretty solid, switch panel still fits over nicely, and the dials are rock solid. As I wrapped things up, images of a frustrated car audio installer, veins bulging, dripping in sweat, in combative contortions with that console as he rounded up near Beer:30 on a Friday afternoon.
