Hi everyone - haven't been on-line in a while - Hope everyone is doing well.

We are thinking about pulling the trigger on a 2016 GLE300D4-- TurboDiesel 4Matic.

Does anyone have any comments about the car, engine, experiences or things to watch out for???

I have a '15, bought it in June (would have bought a '16 if I could have found one), have about 13k miles on it so far.

I have a few design complaints: visor leaves the outer corners of the windshield exposed, sill where you step out has exposed paint that can get scratched, heated steering-wheel lever is hard to find, parallax on the speedometer makes the speed appear to run a couple of MPH low, ... pretty much minor details.

Mine also has a 1-2 flare that the dealer in Fort Wayne is telling me is normal, Cleveland says it is not. Still need that resolved.

Other than that, averaging 32.6mpg since new, has good power off the line although a little weak on freeway passing power, excellent ride and good handling, mine came with Dunlop 19s, have 1/32 of wear at my 10,000mile service, used IIRC 8gallons of DEF in the first 10k miles.

Feel free to email me if you have specific questions. I haven't yet towed with it except to bring my empty boat trailer home so I can't tell you much there, and my driving is mostly highway so I chose mileage over V-8 power, am happy I did.
