Thanks Bill,I was wondering if I was the only person seeing it again. On my first post I see an image,do you see a red X in a square?I ask because the first time I tried to attach it that's all I could see I'll get the hang of this stupid computer just before it's obselete The color BTW is Thistle green metallic, not a common color in my area.

OK, let's see if I can do this again. If it looks like the rear is a little low this will help explain it.

I'm beginning to like the clear fog lights better than my yellow ones. Not to mention that mine are badly pitted....
Oh well, doesn't matter. I'll be putting the Euro headlights in a few weeks... now I just gotta make sure I can aim 'em properly.

Clear Vs Amber

Really Holson? You like the clear better? I have clears on my 79 cd and I am always looking for ambers. Funny stuff, I guess the clears are less common, so that makes them stand out more.

Does anyone know when/why MB changed from clear to amber fogs? As far as I can tell 1980 was the last year for clears on the 123s. Am I correct in that assessment? Or did the original buyers get a choice?

just curious,
James

Hi Bill, thanks for the tips,I'll send along some pics to Mary when I get a chance(our computer keeps crashing).
Hi James,I believe that MB switched to amber fogs because NA drivers are used to clear driving lights and amber fogs.Personally I prefer the clear lights

Hey JPL,

My 1980 300D had amber fogs... maybe 79 was the last year?

-m

PS: I prefer clear for looks, amber for actual bad weather lighting, but euro is the best.
